Aside from enjoying slow motion runs on the beach, Pamela Anderson takes safety very seriously and doesn’t let just anyone drive her home—in slow motion or otherwise.
In “The Driving Game,” a PSA from The National Sexual Violence Resource Center and the National Limousine Association’s Ride Responsibly™ initiative, the Baywatch star asks potential drivers, Dating Game-style, if they’ve ever been drug tested or if they’ve had background checks—but two of the three drivers just don’t seem to get her drift.
Guess which one she picks to take her home!
There have been an alarming number of alleged sexual assaults involving ride-hail app drivers, says Gary Buffo, president of the NLA, who says that the [NLA’s] partnership with the NSVRC is a vital step toward bringing this urgent matter to the forefront of the conversation.
Anderson felt compelled to take action, exclusively telling E! News, “I worry that passengers of ride-hailing apps have a false sense of security. I think these apps could potentially be great one day, but they must operate by the same rules as taxis and limos, with drivers who have been fingerprinted, background checked, drug tested and trained.”
Yes. Safety first, always.
